The Flora Macdonald Academy Guidance Department believes
in the worth of all individuals and strives to help all students reach their
potential. The department offers services in three areas. These areas are:

Counseling with students to assist them in school
and life adjustments
-
Counseling with teachers, parents, administrators,
other student services workers, and community resource people to establish
and maintain the best possible environment for learning and personal growth.

Coordinating the guidance program by providing
activities that encourage a student's individual progress.

North Carolina
Scholars Program
The North Carolina Scholars Program is a program open to
students who are residents of North Carolina and are
attending grades 9-12. This program is an honorable
recognition of a student's performance for their entire
High School career. Students whom are eligible for this
program will receive a High School Diploma which
designates them as a North Carolina Scholar. To
determine if you are eligible, high school students may

qualification requirements here.
Guidance News
C-CATS
Clemson's Challenge for academically talented students. 9th
and 10th grade students interested in this program for 2010 should
visit www.c-cats.org and visit
the guidance office for more information.
SVMS
Any 10th
or 11th grade student interested in the Summer Ventures in Math and
Science Program must visit the guidance by December 4th for an
application. visit
